At 11:00 am Every Sunday
We gather together as brothers and sisters of Christ to remember his life, death and resurrection as he commanded all his disciples to do, on the night before he was crucified – “this do in remembrance of me”.
We refer to this as the Memorial Meeting.
We sing hymns, offer prayers, read a chapter or two of scripture, and one of our brothers will offer an exhortation, an encouraging Bible-based talk.
Then as Jesus and his apostles did, we each partake of a morsel of bread and drink a small glass of wine. These are symbols of the body and blood of the Lord Jesus, given in sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins for his faithful believers.
Thus we remember and give thanks for his sacrifice and look forward to his return to the earth and the future Kingdom of God. Then Jesus will again share bread and wine – this time with all his brothers and sisters who will have been given eternal life in that wonderful day!
